Just a bit over a year since I moved from a luxurious four bedroom home into a tiny duplex (with a couple months of subletting in between), I am finally beginning to reclaim my music studio slash home office, up to now typically referred to as “The Junk Room”. As just one of many tasks and projects I occasionally set aside free time to make sense of, I’m nowhere near complete. But getting there. Slowly. More thoughts after the jump…

- Just one-day after moving in…
Current. I’m not quite ready to call it “after”, as there is still much work to be done!

Not-so Junky!
While still fairly chaotic, one of the things I’m particularly inspired by in this most recent photo is the many years of “history” on display- from the first picture framing job I ever completed about nine jobs ago (I had no taste then), the obligatory teen-idol rock-star poster, to the MINI collectibles, and of course, various instruments and Runner’s World magazines which illustrate my two main distractions from an 11-hour workday.
Now I just need about 6 filing cabinets, 2-3 bookshelves, and a new sofa since I gave mine away to someone who needed it more that I did, and I’ll be done! Oh- and proper lighting. And some window treatments. And acoustic panels… and… Yes, I know it’s never “done”, is it?
