Ramen ripoff

I know I have issues. Sometimes they get the better of me. I knew that when I moved to the heart of Geeksville, USA that I would be dealing with a significant cost of living increase. And here’s where the hypocrisy kicks in…

Sure I’ll pay a 100% markup on rent and won’t bitch about it; gas and groceries are a good 30% more expensive but whatareyagonnado?

But a 500% markup on ramen?!?! WTF?!! Okay work with me here:

In my old, blue collar town grocery store, dried up ol’ nasty poorboy ramen runs 10 for $1 (as it should be!). 8 for $1 when they’re feeling stingy. Today at the “cheap” grocery store in mid-Google Town, they raised the price on ramen noodles from a ridiculously priced 5 for $1 to, get this, TWO for a dollar? That’s 50 cents a piece?!?! That’s ludicrous!!!

I know that doesn’t sound like a lot in a town where people drive Audi A8s and Teslas as daily drivers, but still, give a guy a break wouldja?.

(FYI- I wrote this on my iPhone and it only took 15 minutes. #fail)

Almost 37,000* pics of the Warrior Dash SoCal event on Brightroom.com, and the sole photo of me on the site, is one of the lamest shots of the entire set. Go figure.

I’m totally not paying $35 for an 8×10 of this?!?!

*36,973 to be exact. I counted.

the magic formula! (air quotes included)

with my new, more complicated life, i’ve been tweaking my “morning routine” in an attempt to squeeze in a 20-30 minute workout in every morning. i think today i came up w the magic formula!

0546: alarm, hit snooze… twice
0604: actually get up*
0606: prep breakfast/lunch
0640: check/send email, etc.
0700: workout
0730: hit the showers
0800: get dressed & stage office gear
0825: exit house, drive to work
0855: enter office building

PERFECT! If I can keep it up that is!

*this also involves not drinking heavily the night before.

My New Place (Pics)

In a previous post, I promised I would post pics of the new place. (That’s a lotta Ps!). Not that I didn’t take plenty of photos pre-move in, but you may have noticed that I just don’t have much time to blog these days.

I’m taking a few minutes of my employer’s time and high speed internet to finally get a few photos on here, taken before I moved anything into it.
