A couple weeks ago this David Sparks/#followfriday thing came up on my radar. You can get the full scope on his blog and also on the Cranky Geeks podcast. The sound byte:
“In every other aspect of your life would you accept a recommendation without reason?”.
Moments after reading this I knew he was right. I didn’t even need to read the rest of his post and knew exactly what he was referring to. Since then I’ve adapted my “follow friday” lists accordingly. Originally I was all excited about the “can i list five people’s handles in under 140 characters”. Yeah, Lame, I know, but I thought that’s how the game was played. (I’m still a newbie to this whole Twitter thing so cut a brutha some slack!) Since reading the Sparks article I’ve changed it up- Instead of one jam-packed, non-detailed list, I’m sending out five individual posts with the hashtag, handle, and why I think you should follow them. You should too! I think this makes much more sense. Thanks David for bringing it up!
